About Pastor Irv
Irv Arnquist has served as our pastor since August 2010. He and his wife Marcia moved here after serving churches in Northfield, MN; Kimball, NE; Clara City, MN; and Evansville, MN. They have three grown children residing in Fargo, Silver Bay, and Austin, TX. They enjoy gardening and working on their home. Irv likes to golf and Marcia likes to go garage saleing. Irv grew up in Hoffman, MN, and Marcia grew up in rural Gurley, NE. They met, were engaged, and married in 1974. Marcia was overheard to say, “We met in April and were married the Saturday after Thanksgiving.” Irv was overheard to say, “I was sort of in a hurry, if she got to know me too well, she may have changed her mind.” Irv has also been heard to say, “Marrying Marcia was the best thing that has happened in my life.”
They both enjoy meeting new people. They appreciate it when people walk right up and introduce themselves. “Please be bold enough to do that, it helps us get to know our church and community better.”—Irv and Marcia
